to Launch your Online Language Teaching Business

6 weeks of coaching, support and Q&A

6 digital workbooks with homework + group assignments

6 weeks of working in smaller groups to boost your support

An online teaching business has been your dream for the past several months (or years?). You’ve got a clear picture:

a) a few highly motivated, well-paying clients who find you online,

b) a couple of courses and e-books that sell passively,

c) a gorgeous website with a vibrant blog or a popular podcast,

d) 4-week uninterrupted vacations every year.

The Internet has supplied you with myriads of tips to make your dream a reality. You’ve attended every possible training and you’ve listened to the online business gurus so many times you know what they eat for breakfast.

Yet your dream is nowhere closer. You feel more overwhelmed and confused than ever. You keep asking yourself….

  • What to post on social media?
  • How do I take payments?
  • How much do I charge?
  • What is my niche?
  • How often do I blog?
  • What do I write in the newsletter?
  • How do I put together a welcome series?

Hi! We are Elena Mutonono and Veronika Palovska.

Several years ago we were juggling multiple jobs as online and offline language teachers, exchanging time for money, having no vacations, no excitement and no time left to think about changing anything.

In the moments when we felt fed up with convincing potential clients that they should pay us what we charged, the thought of creating something sustainable popped into our minds. Yet the advice we found online made the process overwhelming and labor-intensive.

What we needed was a simple and clear guide.

What we got was an overflowing inbox, hundreds of free downloads in the google drive and a sense of despair.

Fast forward to today, we’ve written and sold books, created products and programs, grown an amazing community of over 1, 200 people and created a membership site to help online teachers learn, test, network and support each other as they build their businesses.

But best of all, we’re doing the work that we love that actually pays our bills, feeds our creativity and doesn’t eat up our free time.

What we discovered in the process of turning our 1-on-1 Skype lesson hustle into sustainable businesses that can grow without eating all of our time and sucking our passion is that building an online teaching business doesn’t have to be a complex process.

Just like with language learning, there is a pattern, a map you can follow to save you unnecessary detours. When you look from the outside, the process seems complex and overwhelming, but once you have a guide, everything falls into place.

Here’s what a simple map looks like:

1. Find your focus: niche, core message and ideal client.
2. Find your social media channel and grow your tribe.
3. Find your clients (build a landing page/booking page).
4. Test your ideas before you turn them into products.
5. Use versatile methods to build trust (because people buy from those they trust).
6. Offer a couple of products/programs as beta (+ get feedback)
7. Revise and revamp. Sell. Troubleshoot.
8. Test strategies for ongoing sales (ads, email, etc.)
9. Create a website that attracts your ideal client.
10. Grow your community.

You may have read all of the above and thought, “Yes, this sounds familiar.” And yet, the business that you think you know how to build is still not there. What’s the deal?

  • You need a community of people who are doing the same thing so you don’t feel alone and depressed;
  • You need a coach to answer your questions and help you get unstuck without having to read 10 books and attend 25 webinars;
  • You need actionable materials and specific guidance that involves practice, not theory.

Imagine you could spend 1 hour a day building your business. Not sitting through long webinars or reading books that breed more questions, but actually DOING THE WORK.

How would your business change in 1 year? Where would you be in 2020 if you kept going with clarity and confidence?

Here’s our schedule:

1. Wednesday, January 16: Mindset + Motivation

A well-nurtured person doesn’t run out of ideas and creativity, which contribute to a healthy business growth. Set up systems to overcome fear, anxiety and despair. Motivate and nurture yourself.

2. Wednesday, January 23: Niche + client + core message

Getting solid on your niche and client expectations will save you from unfulfilling and exhausting work. Knowing your core message will prevent you from looking over your shoulder trying to copy someone else because you’re afraid you’re failing. Become confident in your work and find your focus in week 2.

3. Wednesday, January 30: Social media engagement and growth

Use social media to amplify your core message and build connections. Begin building your tribe of fans that will turn into clients and promoters of your brand.

4. Wednesday, February 6: Blog, podcast, or video: content marketing

You may have been struggling with which one to choose, but the goal is to choose with your client in mind and use the platform to change the way they think about you and your services. Stop re-writing textbooks in your blog posts or retelling rules in your videos. Create content that compels people to act.

5. Wednesday, February 13: Building a community (+ clientele)

Never again say to yourself, “I gotta post something really quickly.” Keep your social media marketing going and moving forth smoothly while you focus on things that bring you higher return.

6. Wednesday, February 20: The unconventional ways to market your services

You don’t have to be a PhD in SEO to market your services on your website. There are simpler tools that you can use today that will give you better results: email, postcards, books, group hangouts. The best way to sell is to create an environment where people don’t feel pressured to buy. Learn how you can do it, too.

We are ← Elena Mutonono and Veronika Palovska, →

the authors of Opted Out of the *Real Job.* We coach clients, create programs, support communities, design websites, write books, and run businesses.

Also, we love languages, books, journals, color pencils, theater, music, good food, friends, dogs, family, and fun.

If we didn’t have smart growth systems for our businesses, we wouldn’t be able to reach more people with our message. We wouldn’t be able to enjoy our work and our life.

But we had to learn the hard way that systems don’t just magically appear, and that’s what we want to share with you >> a system-building mastermind for your business to grow in 2019 and beyond.

Opted Out Mastermind 2019

a 6-week Intense Group Training Program
to Launch your Online Language Teaching Business

Enrollment closed

Q’s? Here are A’s.

If not, please contact us.

What if I can’t attend live sessions?

We understand that catering to everyone’s timezone is impossible when we teach online. Therefore we’ll be emailing all of the recordings within 24 hours after each session. Please set aside the time to watch and take notes.

Do I need to have a website or a blog?

No. The mastermind will help you figure out what your website will be about and how to make it more suited for your ideal client. Note that the goal of the mastermind is not to create a website, but to give you a strategy behind building a website that converts.

Do I need to know my niche?

Yes. It’s OK to not be 100% sure, but you have to agree that you need a niche to serve your clients better. If you want to do 3-5 different things (students training, teacher training, coaching for corporates, etc.) the Mastermind will discourage you from a plan like this.

What if this isn’t for me?

When you purchase the mastermind, you will get a form to fill out. We will review it and if we see that this program isn’t the right fit for you we’ll reimburse you before January 24, 2019. We want to work only with the right people because we want to deliver the best results.

What do I get when I join?

You’ll receive support from 2 coaches and the community, along with the access to 6 training sessions + recordings and workbooks.

Do you have payment plans available?

Yes. You can either pay the full amount of $425, or make two monthly payments of $215.

How much time should I dedicate to the Mastermind?

We ask that you do not take any other course/program while you’re working with us. Clear your schedule as much as you can and focus on setting up systems that will help you run your business much more smoothly. You might need anywhere between 3-5 hours weekly.

Still have questions?
